James Long

We were given the oppertunity via uni to produce a short project for James Long in which i was RUNNER UP!! :)
The project was the oppertunity to show our own brand as individual designers, i chose to work with the idea of something i love...ICE CREAMS!!

A little from second year

My second year in my head was my most unfavourite year at uni, yet looking back at my work i think i enjoyed it abit more than i let on. It was probably the feeling of more work creeping up on me that i wasnt so fond of...not as many  nights out as 1st year...more nights spent in doing work!

Looking at maps be that the london tube map or a map of the uk, i started to recreate them myself using a range of materials, then started to layer them ontop of one another to create a range of prints.

 

 

                The final product was a selection of scarf samples on silk, printed using the monoprinting technique.

A NEW START!!

As of today im starting over!
i want to contiue doing what i love...job hunting is getting me down so i will paint and reminisce!
from today my blog will include everything i do...that is if i have internet access of course!
let the reminiscing commence....

She was called Daisy, she is what i love... my friends photography and everything around me.

The Best Of British...

Alexander McQueen

On the 11th feb 2010 Alexander McQueen Hung himself at his home, due to the death of his mother.

A great British designer, McQueen was dramatic, unconventional and shocking in every sense of the word. 

In 1996 McQueen replaced John Galliano as head of Givenchy haute couture, and in 2001 he left to start his self named label which has produced show stopping pieces wowing everyone.

Completed by his design team, to every last detail, McQueens final collection is beautifully thought about, designed and made. From the choice of the fabric to the trimmings McQueen truly outdid himself.

 

The British Summer!

My summer holidays as a kid consisted of deck chairs, wind-breakers, donkey rides, ice creams, caravans, sandcastles and seagulls, and they were AMAZING!

The best of being british to me are these holiday memories!
